Cheesy
Oat Patties
Grated
Tasty Cheese (eg Matured Cheddar)
Porridge Oats (finely rolled oats)
Nuts, roughly crushed or chopped (optional)
Egg, lightly beaten
Mix the dry
ingredients together well in a large bowl, then stir in the beaten
egg to bind. With wet hands, form into small patties (about the
size of flattened golf balls). If too dry to hold its shape, add
a little water.
Shallow-fry
until golden in Pure Olive or Vegetable Oil and serve with a strongly
flavoured dipping sauce such as Herb Dressing or Sweet Chilli Sauce.
Note: You can
either serve these with side dishes as a meal, or they make great
Finger Food.
